REDUCTION PRINTS
These are reduction prints, which is the method of using one block to lay many colors to create the image. In doing so the block is slowly destroyed in the process. Therefore how many prints you start off with is how many you will have, compared to mono prints where you can do multiple prints whenever you want. GOURD ART/CRAFT
In collaboration with Carol Jackson, we created these phenomenal pieces of art. We recently entered them into the Marin County Fair and we won First, Second and Fourth place, Best of Show and a Special Award from The Canning Store in Berkeley. |

MONO PRINTS
I use printing cutting tools to cut out everything that is not part of the image that is being created. I use linoleum blocks and with mono prints, I can make a plethora of prints until I decide to destroy the block. |
|
ACRYLIC PAINTINGS I start off with painting a lot of backgrounds and then they sit in a corner of the room until the image presents itself. When the image triggers the thought of one of the painted backgrounds then I know to paint it. |

DRAWINGS
Just the opposite of the paintings, I do the subject first and then I do the background. As you can see my block printing methods have saturated into my drawings. |

DRUMS
Creating drums is an honor because the spirits of those animals from which the drum is made of has chosen me to assemble them for healing, meditative, songs, and for dancing. The sound of a drum calms my spirit and brings me in balance with the universe. A peace comes over me as my heart aligns with the rhythm of the beat. |

LEGO Art (Mind Prison)
I was messing around with legos for awhile and Despicable Me 3 came out, where the minions went to prison, a building block set came out with 2 minions and a cell, which consisted of a toilet, bunk, a wall and a cell door. I put it together in about 10 minutes. After I completed it, I thought to myself, that is a weak prison cell. So I started to create a realistic prison cell for the minions, then it turned into a cell block, then a tower and a R&R. After I entered into the Marin County Fair and won Honorable Mention. I did not know what to do with it, store it or take it apart. I was attached to it by then. As I looked at it, I thought , I can do better. Minions were out and I created a prison of my memories or a story shared with me by one of the Native brothers.. Each scene has a story that goes with it. |
