Over twenty-five years ago when I use to create cards and send them out to my family and friends for various occasions, I use to sign the back of them RedTail and I drew a red tail with the year inside of them. Pops told me that could be my business logo one day and now it is and it is my first business.
I love art, it is my passion, serenity, peace of mind and a way I give back to the world. I have donated many pieces to various non-profits groups to raise money. I have linoleum cut prints in the Library of Congress in the Prints and Photography Department. I have given art pieces to people who had helped me with out expecting anything in return. I have made earrings, necklaces, etc... as tokens of my appreciation. It gives my life worth, purpose and meaning. Art has given me so much that it will take a lifetime to repay it. I have had my artwork in San Francisco Galleries, Santa Rosa Gallery, Chico State University, Japan, New York Gallery, The Marin County Fair, Marin Society of Artists, The Friendship House in San Francisco, Pleasanton Native American Art Show and I will be at the Marin Native American Arts: Art of the Americas. I have created logos and commissioned art pieces for Non-Profits as well. I also have been featured in SNAG Magazine, Native Peoples of California Magazine, Indian Country Newspaper, and in the YUROK newsletter. I have my first solo show, Trust the Spirits exhibit, at the Museum of the American Indian. It is featuring 47 pieces spanning over decades and various art forms.
I am a Native American and I have created drums, rattles, bracelets, necklaces, chockers, arm bands, earrings, medicine bags, and a variety of other regalia. I am a spiritual being and I feel the closest to Creator inside the Sweatlodge, where I have been pouring water for the people for over a decade. Most of my artwork and regalia come from my connection with the spirits of those items depicted in my art.
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has let me express things within me that I could not ever put into words. It has given me healing, strength, insight, and patience. If it was not for artistic expression...I would not be the human being that I am today.
Photography has been incorporated into my skillset, I love the camera and capturing moments of life on film is amazing.
